Homestuck comics are real
People think we lie about this stuff. We don’t.
Hey everyone! I just wanted to let you know my Spring Update is out! It adds really cool features, such as a search button on the Start Screen, and pinning Windows Store apps to the taskbar. And if you are a desktop or laptop user with a mouse, I now offer close & minimize buttons inside Windows Store apps! Isn’t that neat?
You can go ahead and obtain this update through Windows Update! So get to it!
I ended up disabling most of the new features because of my workspace.
Thanks for cleaning up the Start apps menu though, that’s really helpful
Yay! More Fisheye Placebo cosplay! I hope you all like these pictures because we have more to share~ :) Wait patiently (because we are lazy mofos)

I was thinking about just how often Weiss tends to cross her arms and got to thinking a little bit about the nature of body language in general.
Crossing your arms is a defensive gesture meant to ‘close’ your body and protect the heart and vital organs in a subconscious sense. Interestingly enough, it’s also the common stance one takes to get warmer when they’re cold.
To get into more detail on a few of the examples above, take a look at the combat skirt scene:
Her arms are folded. Ruby appears beside her, mimicking her stance. In body language, taking the same stance as someone else is indicative of establishing rapport: you support them and you feel comfortable with them and agree with them, and they get the feeling of being a leader.
Weiss, who for the rest of the entire series was shown leaning away or shying back from contact, breaks her tried-and-true, go-to self-protective stance to reach out to Ruby in an incredible display of trust. A high-five may not seem like that big of a deal, but when you really look at how often Weiss falls into this pose of physical and very possibly emotional constriction, it’s really something special.
And high fives in particular are just about the worst thing to be left hanging on because like everyone sees and knows it when it happens and being left hanging is a really embarrassing form of social abandonment. It is an act that expressly requires another person and Weiss didn’t even flinch or glance over, just trusted Ruby to be that person.
Moving on from my feelings about high fives, the last picture in the set is during Weiss and Blake’s argument about the White Fang. She is notably more aggressive in her stance, and when she reaches the apex of her feelings on the issue, she makes an incredibly important change in her body language:
Her arms are behind her back. Her front is completely open and exposed, chin up, defiant, and unquestionably confident.
This stance is the absolute opposite to her standard, where her arms are in front, and crossed.
She has zero doubt in the words that she is speaking: that the White Fang are “liars, thieves, and murderers”. This pose is daring Blake to oppose her. She is holding her body open and wielding her vulnerability as a weapon of intimidation-she is very consciously exposed and there’s a lot of power in Weiss’ words because of it. The rest of the series leading up to this moment has shown her in the opposite stance.
She is totally and unconditionally invested in this belief, to the point where she’d put her every physical aspect and emotion right into the line of fire for it, because she believes in the strength of it.
TL;DR: I JUST REALLY HAVE A LOT OF FEELINGS ABOUT BODY LANGUAGE AND CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT OKAY
